Hi all,
I want to know what difference does it make when I select the “Authoritative Application” check box on an application.
Thanks in advance.

In SailPoint IIQ, an authoritative application is a designated target system that serves as the primary and most reliable source of employee information within the organization, such as an HR system. When this application is marked as authoritative, the IdentityIQ aggregation process will generate an authoritative Identity Cube for every account associated with it.
IIQ Identities have a field called “correlated” on them. This is basically used to distinguish between correlated Identities representing actual people, machines, or whatever, vs. uncorrelated Identities generated as “holders” for an account during aggregation.
Various user interfaces are filtered to show only correlated Identities.
An Identity is marked correlated if it has a Link from an authoritative application.
