Add Identity to Workgroup Uses Workflow?

Hello,

I wanted to know if workgroup membership add/remove goes through workflow? I need to add email notification for any change.

To my knowledge, no workflow is used when adding removing users from Workgroups.
But, you are able to audit when that change happens in your AuditConfig -

You may be able to do something clever where you tie up and email to that AuditEvent being created - or create a schedule report on that audit event.
