Hello Experts,
I am trying to figure out the process, How an AD Display name should be updated to reflect the Preferred Name in SailPoint?

I want AD-Display Name attribute to be the same as Preferred Name in SailPoint and the AD-Display Name attribute must be updated when Preferred Name in SailPoint is updated.

@enistri_devo If I am understanding correctly, this is my answer: Preferred Name is the first name of the user.

Hi @j1241,

Are you trying to change the display name from the existing configuration?

If not, then you can use provisioning policy and then identity mapping for syncing the attribute. us know if you are looking for some specific help on the same.

Ok,
for provisioning that, you need to create a target mapping on the Firstname identity attribute, directly on the displayname of ad.

For example:

with this, every time firstname change, will be update in AD

@ashutosh08 No not trying to change the configuration.

Just trying displayName in AD must be same as Preferred Name in Sailpoint.
And Preferred Name is users firstname.
I hope this make sense.
