Active Directory source for admin accounts

Hi everyone,

We would like to build a separate AD source for -admin accounts for AD source and anyone has any idea how to implement the same?

Hi @kalyannambi2010

You would just create the source and in the config, scope the search DN’s to only include the OU’s that have admin accounts in them.

Hi @vkashat thank you for the update and yes already I did the below configuration and trying to verify the configuration for admin users in AD.

User Search Scope:
Search DN: OU=Admin Accounts,OU=Users,OU=IT,DC=xyz,DC=abc

Group Search Scope:
OU=Admin Accounts,OU=Users,OU=IT,DC=xyz,DC=abc

This is what we do for our elevated accounts. Looks like you’re thinking correctly on how to configure it

Once you configure the new. Source. You can also use account filter to read only admin accounts.
