Access Requests for a user cannot be submitted due to some restrictions

Hi Team,

I am trying to submit the access request from a user login in IdentityNow. However, I am getting an error stating that “Access requests can not be submitted from this interface because they have been configured in an external tool, and access restrictions are in place.” The screenshot of the same is attached for ready reference.

Seek your comments on why this restriction is popping up.

This is because approvalsMustBeExternal is set to true using the API - /v3/access-request-config.

Check with your administrator if access requests are configured in any tool outside of IdentityNow
