Webservice Authentication - Using CCP

Hi,

For a webservice application, we are using oAUth 2.0 Client Credentials. we pass the client ID and Client Secret.

We also some headers to be passed for token generation. We have a header named: App_Key whose value is same as client secret Value.

Now client Scret is encrypted but header value is clean text..

As suggested, I used App_Key = $application.client_secret$ which worked fine.

But when I started using CCP, it is failing.

Hello @chandramohan27 ,

As an alternative, you can add a custom attribute named App_Key to your source configuration inside the connectorAttributes object, either through the VS Code plugin or by using the API. :

Then, in your authentication configuration, reference it as follows:

App_Key = $application.App_Key$

First, test with a hardcoded value to confirm that the header works correctly. Since App_Key is sensitive, avoid storing it in plain text. You can configure the attribute as encrypted using the key encrypted, for example:

"encrypted": "App_Key"

A few seconds after saving, the App_Key value will be automatically encrypted.

This approach lets you manage App_Key separately.

Thanks

Hello @chandramohan27 You can go with Custom Authentication method.
