We are trying to install iiq using native authentication. We have tried with MSSQL JDBC driver 12.8.1 and jTDS driver, but none of them are able to connect with the DB. The service account has db_owner permissions.
However, using SQL local authentication we are able to connect to the MSSQL DB.

Please check the matrix of DB version Supported. Also share exact error which you are getting.
version checker is not related to connection rather version issue which you need to make sure while upgrade or new installation properly run the db script.
