I’m looking into my options for restarting a failed task. We have one task that will sometimes fail because of sporadic networking problems. Usually, rerunning the task will result in a success. The problem is, this particular task runs at midnight and we’re not too keen about getting up in the middle of the night to restart.
I’ve read that there are some options for setting an auto-restart, but I’m not finding those options in either the task schedule or the task itself. Writing a rule would be easy enough, and scheduling that, but if possible, I’d like to set an auto-start option within the task.

I’m not aware of any feature like that, though it would be great if it existed. You’ll likely need to build a custom process. As you mentioned, you could set up a rule to run five minutes after the task, and if the task has failed, use that rule to rerun it.

I thought as much. Not a huge deal, but for sure, it would a great feature!
