Support Multi-Valued Attributes in Forms

Hi all,

In SailPoint IdentityNow (IDN), users can currently input single-valued attributes into forms, such as a single email address or phone number. However, the platform lacks native support for handling multi-valued attributes, which are common in scenarios like Active Directory (AD) configurations.

Let’s consider an example: In an organization’s AD, there might be a setting for specifying multiple server details for various purposes like authentication, file sharing, or email services. These server details could include server names, IP addresses, and connection protocols. When SailPoint IDN retrieves this data through its AD connector, it’s often presented as an array or list due to the multiple server entries.

However, SailPoint IDN’s current form configuration capabilities allows to populate the result as array in one field, it looks weird. As a result, users encounter challenges when trying to manage such multi-valued attributes efficiently.

To address this limitation, SailPoint IDN needs built-in support for multi-valued attributes. This enhancement would enable users to manage and display arrays of values within forms more effectively. For instance, in the case of AD server details, users should be able to input each server entry separately, with SailPoint IDN recognizing and treating them as distinct values.

By implementing native support for multi-valued attributes, SailPoint IDN can streamline the handling of complex data structures, like those originating from AD configurations, ultimately improving user productivity and data accuracy within the platform.

I have raised this idea in Idea portal too. https://ideas.sailpoint.com/ideas/GOV-I-3348

Could you kindly share your thoughts on whether integrating support for multi-valued attributes in IDN forms would be valuable?
