Hi All,

We are cloning both UI and Task server. What are the steps which are normally done once cloning is completed and activity needs to be carried out by SailPoint Development team. I have few pointers but need to know your opinion guys.

thanks,

Hi @kchengalvarayan,

mostly depeds on your configuration and failover policy that you need follow.

For example, if you want dont want any interrupt of work you must change the name of cloned server, add those server on the currently instance of IIQ and later dismiss the olders, if you want dismiss the olders server.

Otherwise, if you replace directly you stops the olders and start the newers.

In every case, I dont reccomend cloning because you risk some conflict with the id machine that are you used for the encryption. Better a new installation.

Hi @kchengalvarayan

Adjust configuration settings for the cloned environment, including database connections and server URLs.

Import any custom rules, workflows, and connectors needed for the new instance.

Execute scripts to migrate necessary data from the old instance to the new one.

Conduct testing of integrations, provisioning tasks, and workflows to ensure everything operates as expected.

You’re probably using a load balancer, so make sure to add the UI server to the availability pool. Also consider adding those servers to any monitoring tools.
