Service desk integration in IdentityNow

HI All,

In IdentityNow, are there any alternative configurations available to replace the Service Desk integration for managing and tracking provisioning tasks? Specifically, I am looking for a built-in method within IdentityNow that can help automate, monitor, and track provisioning requests without relying on external service desk tools like ServiceNow or Jira. Are there any native features, workflows, or reporting capabilities in IdentityNow that can serve this purpose effectively? If so, how can they be configured and utilized? Thanks!

Hi Priyanka,
I am not sure what you are looking for. If you want to track Provisioning request you can use the default functionality of IdentityNow without ServiceDesk it will open the Task to the source owner. Once the source owner has actioned upon the same he can close that in IdentityNow. Or you can use a SQL Loader where it can provision to Flat File Connector.

Could you please let us know what are you looking for ?

@RAKRHEEM With the Task Manager, we can view tasks and update them as well. However, if we have Service Desk integration in place, where we need to generate a ticket to track and assign it to a particular assignment group, would that be possible?

Hi @PriyankaRaoraneAD,
Yes that is possible. You can view the ticket in going to Search → Search the user → Account Activity → You will get the request id. Please go through the below link for more details.

@RAKRHEEM, No I am asking if we can have any other way to do it instead of service desk integration.

You can try using SQL Loader Source.
