previousIdentity and newIdentity Identical in LifeCycle Event Trigger

Hi everyone,

I’m experiencing an issue with LifeCycle Event triggers of type rule in IdentityIQ 8.4p1. Specifically, the previousIdentity and newIdentity values are coming out as identical, even after I’ve changed the value. Additionally, the previousIdentity is reflecting the values of the newIdentity. For new identity creations, the previousIdentity is not null, which seems incorrect.

I’ve also checked the “Maintain identity histories” box in the Identity Refresh task, but the issue persists.

Has anyone encountered this issue before? What could be causing the previousIdentity and newIdentity to be the same, despite changes, and how can I address this problem?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Check whether the identity has . If it is not present then Run singleAggregation for the identity and triggersnapshot will be created and then you will get the previousidentity and newidentity values as expected. Please go through the below link for more understanding.Hope it will help you.

In my case I’m using create trigger under specific condition, so I go with [ create → rule in included identities ] instead of [ trigger type rule] .
