One of the following processes must now be used to reset a source.
Configuration Hub
Use the SailPoint Configuration Hub to create a backup of the source you want to reset.
Delete the source.
Import the backup of the source you made. All of the configuration options will be restored, but all of the accounts and entitlements will be gone.

Use the export endpoint to export the source you wish to reset.
Use the export job status endpoint to check the status of the export.

These options seem like a general step back in ease of use from the existing reset endpoint. Is there a reason that the reset endpoint isn’t being moved over to the beta (or v3) collections?
Based on the feedback we have received so far, we are working with engineering to possibly make a 1-1 equivalent in v3. I hope to have more information on this by the next API deprecation office hours.

any update on cc/api/source/reset replacement of ?
Hi Arif. Please see this post for information on the replacement. The /api/source/reset endpoint has been extended to June.
A replacement for /api/source/reset is expected to be released by the end of March, 2024. In order to allow users enough time to migrate off of the private API and onto the new public endpoints, SailPoint is allocating additional resources to ensure that /api/source/reset remains operational until June 14th, 2024. The replacement for this API will be two separate endpoints. One endpoint will handle the resetting of accounts, and one endpoint will handle the resetting of entitlements.
