Passing parameter to plugin

The URL to a plugin should support additional parameters.

e.g.
https://server/identityiq/plugins/pluginPage.jsf?pn=[PluginName]**&param1=abc&param2=xyz**

Plugin is confined to a single XHTML page. When I provide a URL to a plugin, I would like to have a way to pass parameters to the plugin, so the plugin can prepare an appropriate initiate state.
