SaaS Connector Log Download

:speech_balloon: Aha! Ideas Portal

Aha! Idea Gove-I-3301

:sparkles: Description

Identity Security Cloud administrators can download short SaaS connector log snapshots directly from the connector UI at Admin β†’ Sources β†’ Source Details β†’ Additional Setting β†’ Administrator Settings. Snapshots include only log statements associated with that connector so admins can troubleshoot connectivity failures without opening a support case for basic log access or relying on the CLI.

:red_exclamation_mark: Problem

When failures occur in SaaS connectors, customers do not have adequate access to detailed logs to troubleshoot themselves. The developer persona needed to run the CLI is often not the admin responding to connectivity issues.

:light_bulb: Solution

A new section in the SaaS connector UI:

  • Download within the context of an individual SaaS connector

  • Debug log level changes are reflected so admins can enable debug and download again

  • Enough history to troubleshoot at least ~24 hours of log data

This is for incident troubleshooting onlyβ€”not continuous scraping into log/event capture systems.

:busts_in_silhouette: Who is affected?

Identity Security Cloud administrators who manage SaaS connectors and respond to connector connectivity failures.

:clipboard: Action required

Use log download on the next SaaS connector incident from Sources β†’ Source Details β†’ Additional Settings β†’ Administrator Settings. If a snapshot is still insufficient after enabling debug, escalate to SailPoint support. No mandatory configuration change is required beyond using the download when troubleshooting.

Is this still using the beta/platform-logs API endpoint like the CLI does? I find it odd that endpoint still isn’t published in the spec

Yes, please provide documentation to the API behind this!
