New Capability: Configuration Hub - Upload configuration settings from a file

Configuration Hub - Upload configuration settings from a file

:bangbang: You can now use the configuration hub UI to upload configuration settings from a file, manage and deploy it as any other configuration backup!

We have implemented the upload capability, to provide a way to bring over to configuration hub any existing files, which contain configuration data, so these can be managed and deployed using Configuration Hub capabilities.

What is the Problem?

There is a need to manage and deploy configurations in configuration hub when there is no direct access to tenant configurations. Uploading a configuration file can help in the following ways:

  • Migration of converted IdentityIQ configurations.
  • If there are previously exported configurations but there is no access to the tenant.
  • Migration of configurations between tenants in different domains or regions.
  • Uploading configurations that were shared by various communities.

What is the Solution?

Use the new capability to upload .json configuration file with a valid sp-config API request format, and handle it in configuration hub UI as any other configuration backup.
You can substitute attribute values of an uploaded configuration file by using the Object Mapping feature to add rules to the “Default” mapping set.
