We have an updated and comprehensive AI Usage Policy now in place. The policy covers acceptable and unacceptable uses of AI in this forum as well as consequences for AI abuse/spam.
The policy aims to cut down on low effort and incorrect AI responses. Note that it is your responsibility as a member of this community to read the policy and comply with it.

Very nice! I read through the policy and it seems robust. I especially appreciate that the enforcement section has real teeth! What’s the policy on people who have abused AI before this went into effect?
Love the way this is worded in the policy:
“AI tools should enhance your contribution, not replace your critical thinking, validation, and personal expertise.”
I chuckled a little. Whoever crafted that, nicely done. At the same time though, a tad depressing that it had to be said.
Good question! For those who violated the policy in the past and have already received warnings or enforcement, we are being lenient but letting them know that if they violate the policy one more time it will result in an immediate permanent ban.
