Multiple Connector Aggregation Failing

Hi Experts,

The aggregation started failing with one common error across different application connectors (including AD, JDBC, ServiceNow, Oracle HCM, etc.,), the error says “Read-only file system”.

Does anyone know what is causing this error?

Thanks,
Karthi

Please check connectivity from and to VA. If you have an internal server/box hosting these target systems, please check if they are up and running fine and no changes were made to them.It seems like an issue with the server nothing specific to IDN.

There could be an issue with your file system on the hosting server. Maybe this post helps, please check - MSSQL aggregation error: Read-only file system

Hi @sharvari ,

The issue was fixed after the VA’s was restarted. However, nothing was changed in the VA, so wondering what might be cause behind this issue.

Hi @Karthikeyan_U that means that VA could be overloaded. Check for VA’s resources (CPU and memmory), try adding it more or adding a second VA. I had similar problems with Tenants with many connectors (and aggregations).

in our case the VAs are in virtual machines with a network drive, if for some reason (maintenance usually) the VA cannot see its “HD” for “too long” (never got an answer from support on how many seconds that was) then it becomes read-only.

However this is a bug (at least in my opinion) in the logic of the VA as if the VA is not operational it should not take any tasks. The resilience we gain by having multiple VAs in different datacenters is lost because broken VAs continue to take tasks.

This was raised to Sailpoint YEARS ago (the idea has only 2 years https://ideas.sailpoint.com/ideas/GOV-I-1678) but the issue was raised multiple times before.
