Hello Everyone,

I hope this message finds you well. I am currently working on a project that involves the manipulation of files in PDF or DOCX formats using SailPoint, specifically for access requests. SailPoint, as we all know, is a powerful identity management system that helps businesses manage digital identities. However, I am facing some challenges in understanding how to use it for modifying PDF or DOCX files.

The task at hand involves altering the content of these files as part of an access request process. This could include tasks such as changing the text within the documents. I understand that SailPoint has extensive capabilities, and I believe that it should be possible to achieve this.

However, I am unsure of the exact steps or the specific functionalities of SailPoint that I need to use. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone who has experience or knowledge in this area could provide some guidance or point me towards relevant resources. Your help would be invaluable in helping me progress with my project.

Thank you in advance for your time and assistance. I look forward to your responses.

Hi,

If I am understanding your requirement correctly, when a user is requesting for a role/entitlement and he attaches a file(PDF/DOCX) and lets consider that as source file. Now when the approver views the approval item and you want the contents in the file to be modifies after uploading??

Eg:
Source File: Date format is in dd/mm/yyyy
File received by approver: Date format should be mm/dd/yyyy

I don’t think its possible, because the file attachment uses SFTP/FTP to transfer the file from local location to destination during the access request process.

To my knowledge, its not possible.

Refer to this documents for access request and AttachmentConfig Rule.
