Manager Certification Campaign using workflow taking too much time for creating certification campaign

Hi Team,

I have created a workflow for doing Manager certification. It is working fine but it is taking lot of time to generate the certification. As of now we have only one role assigned to the user but still it is taking 10 minutes to complete the workflow.

Is this expected or I am doing something wrong?

Attaching my workflow for more details.

The Create Certification Campaign action now has an option to start the campaign when created, which means you no longer need to explicitly activate the campaign using the Activate Cert Campaign action.

As for your concern about the action taking a long time, I don’t know if this is a workflow issue or if the underlying APIs that it uses are taking a long time. If you try to create the same manager campaign directly in IDN, how long does it take?

Hi Colin,
Thank you for the reply. Regarding the Create Certification Campaign action I am not able to get the certification in active status and the certification goes to all the managers instead of the single identity. If possible could you please share an example where in you have used the Certification Campaign with Activate option and certification is getting triggered for only single identity?

For the 2nd point of the the action taking long the behavior is different when I try to do an Individual Certification using Search, the response time is very less(less than a minute) than what I see from the Workflow. Not sure if I am missing anything in my workflow that is causing this issue ?

Thanks

Hi @colin_mckibben,

Could you please help on the above query?

Thanks

Hi Rakesh,

Please refer to the workflow docs for information on individual actions. You will likely want to use the “Individual” reviewer type.

As for the long execution time of the action, I have opened a ticket for engineering to look into it.

Hi @colin_mckibben,

Thank you for the quick reply. I tried using the Individual step but it fails with error that context limit exceeded. I have reverted back the workflow to old workflow. As of now I am going to use this as the new step does not work(i tried all the possible options in it).

Thanks
Rakesh Bhati

Hi Colin,

I have retested the workflows from past 2 weeks and the certifications are working fine now. It is not taking time to generate the certification. Just wanted to thank you for all your support.
