Issue with Secured Connection Integration – SailPoint IIQ & Exchange On-Premise

8.4

We are facing an issue integrating SailPoint IIQ with our on-premise Exchange server using the out-of-the-box connectors. The integration works only with an unsecured connection, but when we attempt to establish a secured connection, it fails

It sounds like your integration between SailPoint IIQ and your on-premise Exchange server is encountering issues related to TLS/SSL configuration. Here are some troubleshooting steps and possible solutions:

Verify TLS/SSL Configuration

  • Ensure that your Exchange server is configured to accept secure connections (TLS 1.2 or higher) and verify that the certificate installed on the Exchange server is valid and trusted by the SailPoint IIQ server.
  • Check if the Exchange server requires client certificates and whether SailPoint can provide one.

Check the SailPoint IIQ Connector Configuration

  • In Application Configuration, ensure that you have enabled SSL/TLS.
  • Verify the port being used for secured communication (typically 443 for HTTPS, or 993 for IMAP with SSL).
  • If the connector requires a specific encryption method (e.g., SSL), verify that it matches the Exchange server settings.

Import Exchange Server Certificate into SailPoint’s Java Keystore

If SailPoint IIQ is unable to establish a secure connection, it may not trust the Exchange server’s SSL certificate.
