We are using Azure AD SSO. Our SAML Name ID is selected as Email address. Normally we don’t have a problem with this. Today we got a message from a user who is receiving below error while logging in IDN. The difference is, In IDN the email is defined as john.doe@contoso.com but in Azure it is john.DOE@contoso.com. Since the user is an executive I don’t have chance for testing. Do you think that capital letters in email can cause this?
I would say yes. I cannot replicate this as we use SSO in PROD only, not in sandbox.
Since you have the issue anyway, try to use/update transform to apply the changes for this user to match email addresses, for remaining users it wont impact.

Yes, NameID is case sensitive
