Has anyone experienced this issue or behaviour with certification campaign?
Let’s say a certification campaign has got 2 reviewers i.e (1) a reviewer and (2) reviewer’s Line Manager. We set due date to 2 weeks time.
In a situation when the first reviewer completes their access review first (signed-off / complete), after passing the due date, reviewer’s LM completes their direct report’s (first reviewer) access review, then SailPoint changes the first reviewer’s campaign status back to “In Progress” although it was already done (signed-off / complete). It means the first reviewer has to do their access review again which is really a pain.
Not sure if this a bug in the system or an expected behaviour. I had a look into the documentation but couldn’t find anything related to this.
That is not expected behavior for Certification Campaigns.
Each of the reviewers should be completely separate and shouldn’t impact each other.
I can think of one exception, and that would be if a review re-assigns a particular approval to another reviewer. The reassigned reviewer would then show up as “In Progess” but they should only have to review the reassigned item, and not have to review all of their previous approvals/revokes.
Exactly, that’s what I was expecting i.e each of the reviewers should be completely separate and shouldn’t impact each other. But, this isn’t case with two certification campaigns in prod.
Anyhow, I will need to do some testing in sandbox to confirm the behaviour.
SailPoint support has reproduced this issue at their end. I am surprised that no one else has experienced this issue.
They said “It seems the issue with the certifcation closure/phase change when action is taken on reassigned item after due date. We are working with Enginnering to determine the root cause and address this issue”.
