Hi All,

I am trying to get documentation on SAP Direct Connector compatibility with SAP GTS application and which version the connector supports. The SAP Direct Connector documentation does not have the required information if this connector supports the application or any version details. Does anyone have any document regarding the compatibility of SAP Direct connector with SAP GTS application ?

If your SAP GTS implementation exposes standard SAP user/role/profile structures (e.g., via S/4HANA ABAP backend), you may be able to treat GTS users/roles like other SAP roles and pull them via SAP Direct if they are stored in the ABAP user tables and role repositories.

However, this is neither documented nor guaranteed by SailPoint and depends on how your GTS system is configured (custom roles, custom tables, etc.).

@srikasrikanth SAP Direct Connector is primarily designed to manage ABAP-based systems + S/4HANA On Prem solution while there is a separate connector for S/4HANA Cloud. Older versions of SAP GTS is built on the SAP NetWeaver ABAP stack while newer ones are on S/4HANA stack.

Technically both connectors should compatible with your GTS app.

@neel193 - Thanks for sharing this information. Does this mean SAP Direct Connector also supports the newer versions of SAP GTS i.e; GTS Edition for Hana. For ex - SAP GTSCore Release 200

@srikasrikanth It should work, but this not defined explicitly in any of the article. Better to open a support ticket to understand this. Or if you want to give it a try you can try integrating your app using either Direct Connector or S/4HANA connector and see which one works with your application.
