Identity Security Cloud users are wanting to easily access the information they need. With advancements in LLMs and a less technical workforce, user’s expectations are for less technical query building.

Had a good talk, discussed several topics in the realm of search. UI related, API related and also how filters outside search work. (for example when creating an access profile and choosing a source, the search is a startswith operation instead of a contains operation, which makes it more difficult to search)
Hi @jordan_mandernach, I already had a call with you, but there is one additional point I would like to bring across for search.
How can I find all roles that contain Active Directory groups?
Before SailPoint Supported mapping entitlements to roles directly, what we did was search on all access profiles that are from this source, then search for all roles that have at least one of those access profiles.
Now that roles can directly point to entitlements, this changes things, and using just search through access profiles is not sufficient anymore.
It seems that you can search roles by a specific entitlement, but iterating over all ad groups can be quite a big workload. It would be nice if we can search on a query like @entitlements(source.name:"Active Directory"), but right now the source name (or id) is not associated with entitlements that are directly mapped to roles.
@angelo_mekenkamp I have recently run into this as well. The direct role entitlement assignments do not have a source reference which is a huge bummer.
@jordan_mandernach It was a pleasure connecting with you. We discussed the possibility of sharing the saved searches with others in the orgnization and how non-technical users can use this dashboard to perform audits or data lookup without having to learn the technical queries. Glad to know that search engine with natural language in the development phase. I look forward to participate in the feedback sessions in the development phase.
It was nice talking to you Jordan. Discussed several search options and enhancements in search API, grouping events, filter options and many more topics.
