Most customers have a controlled process that includes review and approval of changes to configuration settings, prior to applying the changes to production. Many customers use change management tools to track and approve changes, which are applied to production in weekly cadence.
Customers need to have an integrated approval process, to make sure that changes using configuration hub are controlled and that they are tied to their organization’s approval process, and can only be deployed after a proper approval by authorized admin .

Is this approval flow going to be build from scratch, or will it use the approval flow engine that SailPoint already has that is currently being used for access (revocation) requests and entitlement descriptions? I see the need for approvals at different locations (also at forms/workflows), so it would be nice if there is a general approval flow we can use instead if different modules in ISC will have different approval systems setup.
If the same engine is being used, we could inherit all the nice stuff such as automatic work reassignment, dynamic approval triggers, mail notification, automatic reminders, escalation et cetera, and any additional improvements would directly benefit multiple modules of ISC.

The plan is to integrate with the platform approval service but we are waiting for few enhancements in that service before configuration hub can be integrated. For first iteration, for deployment approvals in config hub, we are using existing draft pages .

I do see an approval feature to be enabled for ConfigurationHub, but it is disabled to make changes. Is this feature already live? Or do we have to raise a support ticket to have the feature enabled for the respective tenant?
