SailPoint Non-Employee Risk Management is improving authentication from Identity Security Cloud. These changes will create a more seamless experience when navigating to your Non-Employee Risk Management tenant, whether from the Identity Security Cloud interface or to a direct link within Non-Employee Risk Management.
Who is affected by this change?
All Non-Employee Risk Management customers leveraging Identity Security Cloud for authentication, whether locally or via an Identity Provider (IdP).
What is changing?
- When navigating from Identity Security Cloud to Non-Employee Risk Management via the SailPoint Solutions Center, users will no longer be presented a separate login page with the option for “Login with SSO”. After clicking the Non-Employee risk Management link in the Solutions Center, they will simply be taken to their Non-Employee Risk Management home page.
- When following a deep link into the Non-Employee Risk Management interface, such as a link to a request or profile, users will be taken directly to that location, providing they are already authenticated. If they are not authenticated, they will be prompted to authenticate via their IdP or Identity Security Cloud and then taken directly to the location of their link.
- Users authenticating to their Non-Employee Risk Management URL with the internal_login=true parameter will be prompted to authenticate to Identity Security Cloud, either locally or via their organization’s IdP.
What is not changing?
- Authentication configuration - Configuration for authenticating into Identity Security Cloud from your IdP will remain the same.
- Collaboration Portal authentication – No changes to Portal authentication configuration or flow.
- Authentication for non-ISC-connected tenants – These changes only apply to customers who authenticate into Non-Employee Risk Management from Identity Security Cloud, whether locally (using their Identity Security Cloud login) or via their IdP.
