Is there a configuration somewhere to enable the request numbers (similar to Access Request ID in IIQ) for Access Requests.
We would like to display this number in “My Requests” and also in the confirmation email.

UI doesn’t support customization and on email template you can’t not get additional attributes, you can use only those attributes available in every email template
