Identity Historical data

Does Identity Historical data remain forever? Or is it archived or purged periodically?

Example: if someone goes from a student to a contractor to an employee and back to a contractor, would the historical data of lifecycle states and employee type data be kept? This could happen in maybe a 5 to 10 year span.

If the longevity of the data isn’t stored should we consider writing to an external source? Is it possible to write to a single IDN attribute as a multi-valued and update it on given key changes?

Idea would be to allow someone to look at the history of an Identity and get a good idea of not only who they are but one place to see how they have transitioned within the organization.

Hi Fred,
Thank you so much for the post. As per the documentation of Sailpoint we have the following details.

All Audit data in IdentityNow is stored for 1 year, plus the current month. If you need to access older data, up to 5 years old, fill out the https://documentation.sailpoint.com/saas/help/assets/auditHistoryRequestForm.docx and submit it with a support ticket.

Let me know if you need any more details.

Thanks
Rakesh Bhati
