Hi All,

Is there any generic performance matrix (depending upon number of identity) that we have for different database size for all the supported Database by IdentityIQ.

Is there is any kindly share the same.

Thanks

This can be used to get some idea .

https://community.sailpoint.com/t5/Other-Documents/IdentityIQ-Hardware-Sizing-Guide/ta-p/79521

but again database size will depend on so many things like

  1. No of identity
  2. no of application
  3. No of Links / Roles
  4. Retention policy
  5. Prov Transition data retention
  6. Audit and Transition data retention
    7 Report Data

I have seems most of the storage is used by last 3 .

Hi @vishal_kejriwal1,

I have gone through the hardware sizing link. But I was looking for more of a database comparison with some benchmark number like depending upon data size and nothing specific to any specific table.

I got some sample of Mysql vs MSSQL vs Postgres on internet, but I was looking for something if SailPoint already have any base line numbers for the database recommendation.

Thanks

I don’t think sailpoint have published anything as such . Generally size are auto incremented and in case if not alerting is placed . I think this is be more like questions to DBA’s.

I agree with Vishal here. You can follow the general sizing practices, but you’ll want to encourage your customer to be flexible with their DB sizing. We always double the initial recommendations for customers who are likely to be inflexible or have a difficult process for changing DB parameters.

In particular, though, the sizing may not be as important as things like allocated TEMP space (for Oracle, or equivalent). This is particularly the case if IIQ is going to be managing (adding/deleting) very large objects, like big TaskResults.
