Process
- Fill out this form with your topic and livestream details
- The DevRel team will respond to let you know the status of your proposal as well as an estimate for the next available date
- If selected, we will contact you a month before your presentation to check in and ensure that you’re ready
- Closer to the date of your livestream, we will schedule a dry run and make sure you’re ready to present
Guidelines
- Please search Content > Video Library to ensure the topic has not been covered within the last year or two. Similar but different is welcome, so please submit your idea it as long as it’s not identical.
- We ask that you pick a topic that you are passionate about and can talk about with some
pizzazz . We want this to be fun for the viewers and you! This is an opportunity to be yourself and let the community see who is behind that username - Don’t worry about being fully buttoned-up or “presentation perfect.” We want this to feel casual and fun, a genuine conversation between you and the community, not a polished keynote.
- There’s no strict time limit for developer community livestreams
Why a livestream?
Streaming live means you get real-time interaction with the audience. It’s not a one way talk like a webinar; it’s a conversation! Unlike a pre-recorded video, a livestream includes Q&A, comments, and audience reactions, so expect a few interruptions.
We know livestreams require a different skill set than pre-recording a video, but they’re perfect practice for larger events like our Developer Days event! If a livestream is too daunting, start with a recorded video blog! Both will be stored on the forum for users to watch later.
