General IdentityNow Roadmap

Hi Team!

We have seen Developer Days videos like “Workflows, introduction & roadmap” or “IdentityNow API Roadmap”. If we search on community, we can stumble upon a general product roadmap from 2018.
I wonder, is there a page/document that SailPoint actively updates where we can see the general roadmap for any IdentityNow related functionality? It would be great that we can go that link to quickly refresh ourselves on what SailPoint plans to do in the future years and know it will be updated there if the situation changes.

I’m working on finding out where this information lies!

Hey Angelo,

I talked to the PM team today. They’re going to talk about the roadmap on a quarterly basis opposed to a written document that has more opportunity to get out of date quicker, to better reflect moving targets.

Here is the latest video that was provided by the product organization. It looks like you’ll have to login to be able to view it there.

Thank you Jordan for the quick response and the link!

I don’t quite get the reasoning behind having a quarterly video. I would say that this would have an even bigger opportunity to get out of date quickly. A document is more easy to update than a video. If the document provides a timeline such as:

2023 H1:
Forms: With forms you can …
2023 H2:
Native Change Detection. With NCD, you can …
Enhanced Segmentation and Delegation. We want to …
2024 H1: …

Now as soon as it becomes clear that enhanced segmentation will be postponed to 2024 H1, one could quickly cut that part of the document and paste it under 2024 H1.

This way, we would not have to wait one quarter to hear that something has been postponed. We can directly see an up to date document.

Nevertheless thank you for the video link. Are the slides used in the video available by any chance (keeping into account the legal disclaimer mentioned in the video)?

I agree with @angelo_mekenkamp, this is a step back. I don’t have 22 minutes to dedicate to watching a video where I hope there are things applicable to me. A document is far easier to scan
