Example Go Live Steps

This attached document is an example of tasks to include in your go live process. Please feel free to contribute comments of what additional steps you follow. This example is using a phased approach as data validation is performed by the customer as part of the process.

This example was for an environment where the sandbox wasn’t completely isolated from production. As such, we had to take a slow approach in validating rules, transforms, sources, schema, etc, via JSON comparisons. To do this we used the vscode SailPoint Plugin. One note with this plugin is that it can be easy to be in the wrong tenant by mistake. Take a backup of all tenants you are connected to prior to making any changes. If you have multiple customers, remove their tenants as a precaution.

Note, if you are not familiar with the SailPoint Configuration Hub, read up on it, it may provide a better migration to production. The steps may take more time than other methods.

Hi @ts_fpatterson

This is an awesome list.

During the Prod deployment I normally would prefer the redirect email to someone so that if something goes wrong it doesn’t trigger emails to the intended recipients
