Epic Connector Configuration

Hi All,

I am working on integrating the Epic application with SailPoint IdentityIQ (version 8.4p2). I understand that Epic is not a default connector and requires separate configuration. I am following the documentation here: Epic Connector Documentation

So far, I have:

  • Placed the epic_security_policy.xml and sailpoint_epic_connector_axis2.xml files

  • Added the Connector Registry entry as follows:

xml

<Application connector="sailpoint.connector.OpenConnectorAdapter" .... type="EPIC">
  <Attributes>
    <Map>
      <entry key="CAConnector" value="true"/>
    </Map>
  </Attributes>
</Application>

My question is: What should be the next step to create the application?

  • Should I expect to see “Epic” as an application type when creating a new application?

  • Or do I need to select Any type and then manually configure Epic‑specific attributes from Debug?

  • Does SailPoint have any good documentation, or can you publish me any documentation to provide these steps

I’m a bit confused since I don’t see “Epic” listed in the application type dropdown. Any guidance or best practices would be greatly appreciated.

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

Hi @SivaLankapalli actaully Epic docs are located in the Epic User Group knowledge base, so you can request access to this group and start from there…

Unfortunately, I don’t have access, but I requested that now, if approved maybe (cross-fingers) I can check and help.

Have a nice and great one!

Regards,

Mustafa

Hi @SivaLankapalli you need to set the CAConnector value to false in the Connector registry for it to show in the application type list.

As @Muhammad_Mustafa mentioned, once you get access to the Epic group, you will be able to get the connector documentation and access to the knowledge articles and posts.
