EntitlementGroup is being retained on orphaned Identity after correlation

We recently updated the Correlation Rule for one of our JDBC applications. The correlation seems to be working as the accounts (and Links in debug) are being moved to the new Identities. The issue we are having is that the EntitlementGroup is being retained on the old Identity, which is now orphaned with no accounts associated with it.

The new Identity does not show the entitlements under the EntitlementGroup that was left on the old Identity and the old Identity is not be pruned. Certifications for entitlements are also being affected.

The entitlements for the accounts are Managed, Entitlement, Multi-Valued under the account schema and are not being aggregated separate. They are instead being promoted via the account aggregation task.

Any help with understanding if there is a reason moving the Link would not move the EntitlementGroup for that Link would help.

Run refresh identity task for both the Orphan identity and newly correlated idenity.

Did you configure group schema for the application? And run the group aggregation?
