Description

:bangbang: SailPoint® application onboarding is introducing an exclusive mechanism for discovering applications via Okta sources.

Problem

The current Okta source assists in application discovery via entitlement aggregation. At the same time, it may not be practical for applications to be introduced every couple of hours to customers’ IT environments, posing an unnecessary load on the infrastructure.

Solution

SailPoint application onboarding is introducing a separate aggregation scheduler to enable customers to schedule application discovery for Okta SaaS sources.

Customers will be able to customize application discovery schedules as per needs.

Who is affected?

SailPoint application onboarding users who have configured Okta SaaS sources for application discovery.

Action Required

The new scheduler details are located at Discovering Applications - SailPoint Identity Services. We expect Admin users to update the scheduler setting as per guidance in the documentation link.

Important Dates

GA date is December 16, 2024.

For sure this can be done in a very similar way with Entra ID. Are there any plans?
