Enhancement: ARM Access Reviews - Fiori Support!

Description

We’ve released a new version of the Access Reviewer module in the ARM application, now supporting Fiori apps for the User to Role review type. This is one of the final key deliverables in our transition to full Fiori app support across ARM, as announced at Navigate.

Problem

Customers need to be able to generate Access Reviews that include risks looking for Fiori application permissions, rather than just traditional transaction codes.

Solution

Create a new Access Reviewer module to support Fiori apps, which provides support for the User to Role review type.

Who is affected?

  • All existing ARM customers using the Access Reviewer module in ARM, either those currently using the new Multi-System Rulebook (MSRB) OR those waiting for more/full Fiori support in ARM before migrating off Legacy ARM, can now take advantage of the new Fiori supported functionality.
  • Any new customer will automatically have this new version of Access Reviewer enabled.

Action Required

No breaking changes are being introduced if a customer does not wish to start using this new feature right away.

If a customer is already using the new Fiori capable functionality in ARM that is supported by use of the new MSRB, then they simply need to message support to have their Access Reviewer module updated in their instance to accommodate Fiori in those access reviews. Customers must also ensure the following:

  • Upgrade your agent if it hasn’t been upgraded since June of 2024.
  • Enable the Security Audit Log in both their SAP instance as well as in ARM.
  • Schedule utilization extracts as far back for each month that they wish to show data for.

If a customer has been waiting for the Access Reviewer to be updated before switching to the new MSRB and Fiori-capable functionality in ARM, they can now proceed with migration.

NOTE: If an existing customer chooses to switch over to use this new version of Access Reviewer, they will not be able to use it for the following previously supported review types:

  • Role to TCode
  • User to Risk
  • Risk to Mitigating Control
  • Rulebook Details

They will ONLY be able to use Access Reviewer for the User to Role review type.

Important Dates

The updated Access Reviewer functionality is currently available.
