Dynamic form attributes in NERM

Hello Team,

I’m creating a NERM portal with relevant page, forms, workflows etc for a customer subsidiary.

My question is, is it possible to have a dynamic form where you are presented with a certain amount of attribute values depending on what you have checked in for example in a checkbox. I haven’t been able to do it via “Set Attribute Value” action.

For example:

I have the attribute Location with 2 possible values.

The attribute below location in the form is the dropdown “Region”.

If I check value1 in the location checkbox, I am presented with a list of regions for that specific location, and vice versa for value2 in the location checkbox.

Hi @Swegmann ,

Yes, it’s possible to achieve this kind of dynamic attribute behavior in NERM forms.

I’d recommend reviewing this guide, which walks through how to configure dependent dropdowns and dynamic filtering:

Non-Employee Risk Management – Filtering a Profile Search / Profile Select.

Hope this points you in the right direction!

As seen above, it is possible but as far as I’m aware only one way. So in your example, you can only set it up to have ‘Region’ define which ‘locations’ are available OR have the selected ‘location’ define which ‘Region’ you can select, but not both on the same form.

Spoke to Sharvari:

NERM doesn’t support dynamic attributes yet. We got around it by using hide/show feature on forms.

A lot of organizations do have this ask. It should be on the roadmap or in ideas portal
