Does IQService required for Provisioning using Azure AD connector?

HI,

We need to integrate the Azure AD connector for Provisioning activities like Create, Update, Disable, and Delete. So just want to check if IQService is required for these operations as it is in the Active Directory connector.

Thanks.

Yes IQService is required for Azure AD Connector and details are available in this link

You can also see the IQService Settings tab under Azure AD Source configurations as show below

If you need any further assistance please post the issues you have while configuring the source

HI Nitesh,

Yeah we went through this document however it is mentioned that IQ Service is used for Before/After scripts. So, do we need IQService if we do not want these scripts to use as we just want to Create user in Azure AD. Also, in Azure AD connector Pre-requisites IQ service is not mentioned.

AFAIK, its not needed unless you need to run before/after scripts or manage exchange online. Same is the case with IIQ.

Hi @nikhlesh , as @sunnyajmera mentioned, IQService is not required in AzureAD source configuration unless you are using Before or After scripts in your work.

HTH!

Thanks @gauravsajwan1 @sunnyajmera, So is it right to say that User creation, update, Access package provisioning/de-provisioning, Disable, and Delete operation do not need IQ Service if we don’t use Before/After script? and we can use the Before provisioning rule to remove access packages/groups at time leavers.

That’s correct.

All supported operations in Azure AD connector along with before provisioning rule will work without the need of IQService.
