Difference b/w ServiceDesk Integration and Service Now Connector

Hi All,

I’ve query what is major difference b/w ServiceDesk Integration and Service-now Connector, can anyone share reference document for the same.

Regards,
Vasanth

This one allows ServiceDesk integration, so access changes can result in ServiceNow tickets to be raised

where this one is a governance connector so will allow you to view/manage users and access

Hope this helps

Hi @sk8er23,

Thanks for your response. I have a query if a user needs to have service-now access via Birthright Role, I’ve to use ServiceNow Governance Connector where it supports provisioning whereas If user need some access for disconnected apps which require manual task that can be only triggered by service-desk integration?

Correct me if my understanding is wrong?

Hi @vasanthrajsp29

correct

For disconnected apps, usually any access actions would by default go to the inbuilt Task Manager - with the service-desk integration the task is re-directed to your service-desk integration
