Delimited File vs Generic Flat File

Is there a difference between these two connectors? I have always used Delimited File but I am trying to see if Generic is for a different use case.

Yup, there is a difference – both are delimited files, but the Generic connector requires that your CSV has the format that’s provided. With “Delimited File”, it can be custom – you specify the fields (account schema) and delimiter; you don’t have to follow our template.
