Deleting contractor identities

We have scenario like this: some 200 contractors in a delimited connector type. Now those 200 contractors becoming permanent and bringing into actual authoritative source. For a matter of clean up do we need to delete all identities from IDN first? or just we need to delete delimited authoritative source? if we want to delete identities from IDN let me know any code that will remove 200 identities from identity list. we need some solution how to handle this

Hi @shaffusailpoint ,
You can change the priority of the identity profile so now when you do identity refresh it will be attached to the new authoritative source.Then you can delete the old accounts in the delimited file.

Hi,

For deleting this 200 identities, you can import an empty csv file on your demilited source :

From your delimited source file account import page :

  • You can download an empty csv file template
  • Modify delete option treshold to 100% and save
  • Import the template this will delete all your authorative source account and associated identities.
  • @shaffusailpoint I don’t know what is exactly relation beetween this old contractor identities and new permenent identities, if they are keeps all old resources on differents target keeping them by changing identities can be good ideas. But if you create a new accounts on differents, i think the proper way is to delete they accounts and they identity will be created again once aggreated from your permenant authorative source.

Now you will import the details of the contractors in authoritative source and then you will have correlation then what happens is all the accounts of the contractor identity will be correlated since the new authoritative source is having higher priority it will mapped to it then you can delete the delimited accounts.So the contractors are now moved to authoritative source while having the old accounts like AD.

Priority is just a number which is used to rank the highest priority of an identity profile.Lets say you do a correlation it matches with two identity profile then identity profile with highest priority gets mapped.Let me know if you have any doubt in setting it up.

For example let say where contractors are importing into authoritative source as permanents has by itself have higher priority? so we just need to import 200 contractors into main authoritative source later just remove delimited file is best solution to handle

Yes, once your authorative source accounts are deleted, identities will also will automatically deleted.
