Getting an error when moving a user to another domain. I haven’t had issues with this previously. Is this something that changed on the domain side or is it Sailpoint?

Ensure that: a) The domain controller having RIDMaster role is operational. b) The user does not belong to a global group. c) Movement of a user across forests is not supported. d)Check the required service account permissions.

Hi Thomas,

I guess the issue is at AD side, I had faced this issue earlier when moving user from one OU to another for some test users, didn’t face in PROD though. I would suggest to look at AD end.

Thanks
Krish

I believe you should do exactly what error message asks you to do

Ensure that:
a) The domain controller having RIDMaster role is operational.
b) The user does not belong to a global group.
c) Movement of a user across forests is not supported.
d) Check the required service account permissions.

I had the AD team check, and we didn’t see any issues with those 4 things, but it doesn’t sound like this is a Sailpoint issue from the 2 replies.

@thasheider1 when you said it worked previously, it’s in 8.3 or previous version ?

I believe even in 8.3 but I haven’t check back that far. I’ll look at previous failures and compare.
