Credential Provider Secret Path Expressions

Revised Date: 18 June 2024

Use the path expressions on this page to implement your configured credential providers into your source configurations.

This is the companion discussion topic for the documentation at https://documentation.sailpoint.com/connectors/cred_providers/secret_paths/help/credential_providers/secret_path_guide/secret_path_expressions.html

The link to this page from the IdentityNow Connectors page does not work. It is currently pointing to https://documentation.sailpoint.com/connectors/cred_providers/secret_paths/help/credential_providers/secret_path_guide/secret_path_expressions.htm, but should point to https://documentation.sailpoint.com/connectors/cred_providers/secret_paths/help/.

Hi Mark, this is another one that falls under the new landing page. I’ve verified the link on Identity Security Cloud Connectors is working correctly.

minor correction

OpenAWS Secret Manager

For information on how to configure the CyberArk Conjur Cloud OpenAWS credential provider, refer to AWS Secrets Manager.

also this link is dead

Hi Jason,

Thanks for pointing these issues out. I’ve fixed them and republished the web page.

Credential Provider Secret Path Expressions

A post was split to a new topic: Entra ID credential provider configuration questions

The Delinea secret path example for password is misleading, at least in my environment. Secret Key is case sensitive so to pull a password, I needed to send “Password”, not “password” per the example syntax.

Example:
Credential Provider Name = DelineaCredentialProvider
Folder = “IT/IAM/IdentityNow/DB-IAMSQL”

Secret expression that actually works:
secrets://DelineaCredentialProvider/IT%2FIAM%2FIdentityNow%2FDB-IAMSQL/Password

Hi Jason,

I created CONDOCS-6455 to look into whether I need to update the examples. Once the work is completed, I’ll update you here.
