As I am new to IdentityNow, Here I am looking to know the process for Creating users ( External Users or Service accounts ) in IdentityNow and then after provisioning to Target Application.
Also Just wanted to now, Does aggregation process will create users in IdentityNow if it non-authoritative source account aggregation?
I would like to get more information, when you say create new users, do you mean create accounts on a target application or just create/get users onto SailPoint from a source?
I want to create Service account in one of the Target Application(Source) via SailPoint and ideally those are not available in HRMS authoritative source.
Want to know the process to manage those service accounts which are available in Target Application and also get to know to bets way to create new Service account via IdentityNow
If your source only contains service accounts, you can create an Identity Profile attached to that source to import service accounts. Your tenant can have more than one Identity Profile for different types of identities.
Hello @damodarHCL
If I am understanding your use case right then below is the answer: UseCase 1: You want SailPoint to create ServiceAccounts on your Connected Source. Answer: Then you can use FlatFile to create Identities for those ServiceAccounts and then using those identities you can request the access for those Service Identities, eventually due to create Account Policy IDN will create your Service Account into your Connected Source.
UseCase 2: Does aggregation process will create users in IdentityNow if it non-authoritative source account aggregation? Answer: Aggregation in simple terms is a process of getting data into IDN, it always creates accounts with respect to that source, and those accounts dont know any identities initially. They will create identities only in 1 situation i.e. it must have a Identity Profile and if you want those accounts to link to existing identities then your source is a non-auth source and needs a correlation logic to do so.
