Is there a way to create an account in SAP HR/HCM via IDN? SAP HR/HCM Connector guide mentions only loading account and provisioning few attributes such as system-username, email and telephone. Any help or suggestions will be highly appreciated!

As per the documentation, there is no create account functionality in OOTB connector. You can check the feature string for the source.
Most of the HR applications, the question is how to implement writeback functionality. Not creating an account in HR application.
I heard something about HR app connectors as Target sources. We are yet to get official news about that.
For SAP applications (with my little knowledge), there are APIs available. SAP started adopting OData API replacing SOAP ones. Check with your application team. Create one more source as a Webservice application to manage the provisioning.
