Create a source within Identity Security Cloud to manage your non-employee profiles.

Aggregating your non-employee profiles into Identity Security Cloud allows you to use Non-Employee Risk Management as your authoritative source of identity data. You can then correlate their accounts and access from other sources to those identities.

However the documentation on this page is not documentation on the OOTB NERM connector capabilities, just a simple configuration guide. Can we have a full connector documentation page that lets us know the capabilities, availability of customisations, limitations, etc?

Specifically, the instructions say “Select Import Data > Account Schema.” There is no “Import Data” anymore :frowning:

Thank you for this additional context, @sup3rmark. We’ll make sure to cross-check the docs and the current UI. In the meantime, the Account Schema page can be found in the “Account Management” section on a source, using the left navigation. Thank you!

Yeah, but there’s no Import option.

It should be noted that the expected ID here is not the Profile Type uid visible in the UI, but the actual id value returned by the API (or visible in the URL when viewing the individual Profile Type). This was unclear and led to some confusion here.

@iamnithesh @sup3rmark We’ve updated the Non-Employee Risk Management connector guide to reflect the new UI, and to make it clearer which ID to use for the profile type.

Mark, it seems that there wasn’t ever an option to import an account attribute schema for the Non-Employee source. If this is something you’re interested in seeing, I’d like to encourage you to post in the Idea Discussions category for better help from the community.

Hello,
The Non-Employee Risk Management connector was developed by Non-Employee Risk Management engineering to create basic sources for aggregating Non-Employees and their Assignments into Identity Security Cloud, so that their access can be managed and governed. As such, it lacks the extensibility and customizability of connectors to external, non-SailPoint sources.
What are the use cases that you have for this connector that the current documentation does not address?
