Hey Mike - sorry to open up the topic again, but did this end up working for you?
I could only get this to work in the preview under the identity profile mapping but the linking would never change, despite multiple identity refreshes & full aggregations.
This documentation suggests that the attribute mapping should have an effect but a member of the professional services team in this post states that the mapping under identity profile is purely cosmetic and doesn’t have any actual effect over the linking of manager identities to reports.
It seems like if this is to be done in IDN, the manager correlation rule should be used instead.
@colin_mckibben perhaps some feedback that the manager correlation documentation is quite confusing and the second section that suggests that the correlation is defined under identity profile mappings is incorrect.
For my own solution, I’ll probably look at Okta now instead and see if I can create a more dynamic manager field using Okta expression language since I’m not very handy with IDN rules and leave that as the last option.
