hi can we generate rolling logs for ccg.log file in IDN.

According to this knowledge base article:

Problem

How often is the CCG.log log file cleared? What is the maximum file size it can reach before it’s rotated/cleared?

Diagnosis

CCG log files are automatically rotated on the Virtual appliance if debug mode is not enabled and the log file size reaches 512 MB.

Solution

If CCG debug logging is disabled, the log file will be replaced with a new file after its file size reaches 512 MB.

If CCG debug mode is enabled, logging will stay contained within a single log file regardless of file size until debug mode has been disabled again.

If you notice large CCG file sizes on your VA and you are not actively debugging an issue please refer to our Virtual Appliance Logging document for instructions on how to de-activate debug mode.

@LukeHagar , @sunnyajmera i was looking for a solution similar to what we do in IIQ with log4j2, for rolling log files. is it possible in IDN ? log file rotation of the size of our choice through lo4j2 configuration.

I haven’t tried it but you should be able to specify the rolling configuration which suits your requirement in the log4j2.properties file.
