Can we actually display a form for an end user on the IDN homepage when the user logs in?

Hi all, I’m new to IDN and I have a query. Can we actually display a form for an end user on the IDN homepage when the user logs in, allowing them to fill out the form and triggering a workflow upon submission?

In my research, I’ve found that forms can typically only be displayed when something triggers them, such as a time-based workflow.

I’m trying to achieve having a form or a quick link displayed to a specific set of users in SailPoint IDN upon login. On their homepage, they should have access to a form with some information that needs to be filled out. Upon submitting that form, it will trigger a workflow and make use of the data submitted through the form.

In IIQ, we can achieve this through quick links. Is there any alternative in IDN?

Hi @narendrat17,

This is actually not supported but will be avaible soon (based on sailpoint annoncement).

Actually it’s only possible to add form in home page for administrator New Forms Quick-Launch Widget for MySailPoint - Compass

Hi @narendrat17 ,

Forms can only trigger with the help of workflows only. Need any trigger to send a Form to target user. And needs to user Form submited trigger to achive the action.
Once target user fill and submit the Form. The same link cannot be reuse to fill again.

Thanks,

If those specific users are Org Admins within ISC you can modify the Form configuration and enable the Form for My Sailpoint widget. Once done, the administrators will be able to see a Forms widget on their MySailpoint page after logging in. They can launch the form from there directly by filling in all information requested. On submission, your custom workflow can trigger on this Form submission trigger event and take further actions as needed.

Hope this helps.

Hi @narendrat17

Maybe if we have a Trigger for User Login then we can trigger a Workflow with whatever actions we need. This would be a great approach in my view. We can submit an idea for this.

Thanks
